Our client are specialists in their market sector, they are looking to recruit a Technical Sales Engineer on a permanent basis.

The Job you’ll do

  • We are seeking a highly motivated and detail oriented Technical Sales Support Specialist to join our commercial team. 

  • The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background combined with excellent. communication skills to effectively support out sales process.

  • This role involves working in close partnership with our customers to provide technical support to our customers, ensuring the successful implementation of the clients products.

  • Provide pre-sales and post-sales technical support to the sales team and customers.

  • Assist in the preparation and delivery of technical presentations.

  • Address technical inquiries and trouble shoot issues related to the development of our products and solutions.

  • Collaborate with the sales team to develop and deliver tailored solutions that meet customer needs.

  • Creation of sales proposals, quotes and technical documentation.

  • Conduct market research to identify potential customers and support lead generation efforts.

  • Maintain a deep understanding of the client product portfolio, including features and applications.

  • Stay updated on industry trends, competitor products, and emerging technologies.

  • Provide feedback to the product development team based on customer insights and market demands.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, acting as a trusted technical advisor

  • Conduct on-site visits to evaluate customer needs and provide technical guidance.

  • Support customer training sessions and workshops on product usage and maintenance.

  • Prepare and maintain accurate records of customer interactions, technical issues and resolutions.

  • Generate regular reports on sales activities, customer feedback and market trends.

  • Contribute to the development of technical manuals, guides, and training materials.

About You

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field (desirable).

  • Minimum of 3 years experience in technical sales support, preferably in the automotive sector.

  • Strong technical knowledge of emission control technologies and products.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to understand and explain complex technical concepts.

  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite, and other relevant tools.

  • Ability to travel as need to support sale activities and customer engagements.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Detail-oriented with excellent organisational abilities.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

  • Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering high-quality service.

  • Adaptability and willingness to learn innovative technologies and industry trends.
