•           Monday to Thursday 07:00-16:00

The Job You’ll Do;

•           Produce bespoke manufacturing aids using a variety of manual milling, turning, and grinding machines along with a variety of other machines and hand tools.

•           Making precision tools (such as jigs, fixtures and press tools), special guides and holding devices.

•           The post is to work in a small team on site at the client’s main manufacturing facility.

•           Primarily work autonomously, however when required, work in a small project-based team along with engineering, quality and production team members.

•           Maintaining individual quality and safety standards, keeping records, maintaining equipment and supplies.

About You;

•           Previous experience within a similar role as Toolmaker within the engineering industry is essential.

•           The successful candidate will have an extensive background working in a toolroom or very similar environment (fitter turner for example).

•           Experience of setting and operating CNC milling machines or lathes would also be desirable, but not essential.

•           Problem solving and tool improvement.

•           Must be able to work on own initiative.

•           Attention to detail and accuracy of work.

•           Be organised and have the ability to prioritise and multi-task.

•           Be able to communicate effectively to own team and other departments.

•           Be efficient with working practices.
