The Company
Our client is a market leading manufacturing company. They now have a new role for a Sustainability and Compliance Manager.
The Role
Develop and implement sustainability strategy.
Ensure business remains compliant with all regulatory requirements.
Influence culture to ensure sustainability is a core topic within the business.
Collaborate with key stakeholders across the business to maintain compliance and stay ahead of legislation.
Drive company activity to maximise re-use opportunity.
Ensure the accuracy of data collection for internal and external reporting.
Collaborate with stakeholders to prepare key sustainability information for internal and external communication.
Monitor industry best practice, share and implement new initiatives.
Represent business at relevant industry working groups and events.
Develop knowledge of appropriate legislation and regulations.
Develop Life Cycle Assessments.
Manage sustainability and compliance team (Sustainable Process Manager, Environmental Coordinator, Management System Coordinator).
Manage waste streams and external contractors.
Maintain and develop management system.
Prepare gap analysis and implement countermeasures.
Identify and drive net zero strategy.
The Person
You will ideally be degree qualified.
Have experience in a similar role.
Strong knowledge of environmental regulations, sustainability frameworks and best practices.
Strategic thinker with excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to analyse data and prepare reports for various audiences.
Project management experience, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams effectively.
Will have sustainability and compliance management experience and knowledge.
