Our client is an established and successful high volume manufacturing company based in Stockton-on-Tees. They are currently looking for a Production Supervisor to join their team on a permanent basis. The Job You’ll be Doing;

  • Manage the production teams to ensure quality and productivity targets are met along with meeting customer deadlines. This is a fast paced, bespoke manufacturing business working to very tight deadlines.

  • This is a very” hands on” role where you will be expected to be working in the production environment as well as carrying out duties of the Supervisor as listed below:

  • Managing skilled and semi-skilled machine operators.

  • Monitoring daily employee performance to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and in line with customer needs.

  • Ensure operators are working to their schedule and oversee progress.

  • Planning resources to match demand and customer deadlines.

  • Monitoring jobs through production and rescheduling to meet customer SLAs and deadlines.

  • Regular communication with other departments.

  • Attend and contribute to production planning and customer project meetings.

  • Developing and maintaining operator training programmes whilst training and integrating new employees into the workplace.

  • Agreeing and maintaining maintenance schedules.

  • Developing and implementing improved production process ideas.

About You;

  • The role is suited to someone with experience of working in a fast paced, high volume manufacturing environment.

  • You must have previous supervisory or team leading experience – this is essential.

  • Any experience with lean manufacturing, 5S, kaizen systems would be preferred.

  • You will be very well organised, able to plan, react and prioritise work, in response to sudden customer orders.

  • Any experience working on improvement projects would be advantageous.

  • You will be IT literate and have excellent communication skills.

  • Happy working a rotating 3shift system.

Hours of Work;

  • This is working a three shift system Monday to Friday .

  • Hours of work 06:00-14:00 / 14:00-22:00 / 20:00-06:00.
