The Job you will do:
Assessment of claims
Checking that failed part is an insured item and that the cause of failure is within the scope of cover.
Checking of parts and labour prices against our system information
Negotiating prices with supplier and/or obtain alternative quotations.
Discussing technical information with policyholders and repairers relative to claims submitted
Instructing independent engineers as required
Writing technical replies to policyholders and repairers
Checking of any fraud indicators and following these through if necessary
Define, document and be responsible for the Claims Assessment process.
Develop relationship with national network of motor assessors.
Proactively develop continuous improvement in the ways of working, taking advantage of technology and best market practise.
This will include proactively recommending improvements to best use of IT and understanding of the customer journey.
Understand and make recommendation around industry best practise.
Develop and enhance working relationship with individual dealers to ensure we obtain best price, whilst offering best in class service to customers, where service is defined as recognising and facilitating appropriate coverage and delivering the same in a clear and speedy fashion.
Experience of managing a feedback loop to help improve customer experience.
Work directly with insurers on more complex cases that are either more than agreed authority levels or present questions around coverage.
About you:
Ideally you will be from a workshop, Bodyshop or coachworks background.
Driving Licence (preferred)
NVQ/C&G Level 3 mechanical engineering qualification (preferred)
You will be familiar with a range of mechanical and electrical vehicle parts and components.
Ability to manage workload and prioritize.
An understanding of industry standards and protocols.
Excellent communication skills.
Confident and able to work well within a team.
Work to SLA’s and help manage those with other colleagues.
Happy to get involved with the team and look to assist with changes in process where you have identified improvements can be made.
