The Hours You’ll Work;    

  • Days only

  • Monday to Thursday 8.00am – 17.00pm, Fri 08.00am – 12.00pm

The Pay You’ll Receive;       

  • £13.77 per hour  

MTrec’s New Opportunity;                         

  • MTrec are currently recruiting for a well-established manufacturing firm based in the Houghton Le Spring area.

The Job You’ll Do;

  • Set, operate and supervise CNC Milling Machines.

  • Load and unload Rail on to machine bed using overhead cranes

  • Set product to pre-determined fixture stops.

  • Adjust CNC offsets (When required).

  • Change tooling heads, re-tip cutters and inspect for damage and report findings.

  • Gauge machined products to ensure the process has been completed correctly.

  • Check and maintain machinery daily to ensure functionality.

  • Flexibility to be trained and assist in all other operations across the site (As deemed necessary, such as but not limited to assembly, material

  • handling, side loader / FLT / OH Crane operation, Planning etc).

  • Assist in work centre and facility housekeeping.

  • Suggest improvements to all processes.

  • Carry out daily TPM checks of machinery and fill in daily check sheets.

  • Communicate any issues directly to supervision promptly so resolves can be arranged.

About You;

  • Proven experience as Machine Operator.

  • Experience of working within a heavy industrial environment is preferred.

  • Experience with Fagor or Heidenhain would be an advantage, but training would be given.

  • Willing to learn all aspects of setting, machining and inspection of product

  • A keen eye for detail and good working standard / ethic

  • Ensure good communication and be a good team player

Training can be done in house for Overhead cranes but previous experience is greatly
