They are now looking to recruit an experienced Logistics and Freight Coordinator to work closely with their MD, and to provide a hands-on logistics service for the business.

Job Specification.

  • International Sourcing & Procurement:

  • Work with global suppliers to source raw ingredients and components materials.

  • Process and manage purchase orders in line with business requirements.

  • Imports & Freight Coordination:

  • Arrange international shipments via sea and air freight, ensuring cost-effective and timely transportation.

  • Liaise with freight forwarders, shipping lines, and customs brokers to ensure smooth clearance.

  • Ensure all import documentation (e.g., commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, Organic COI) are accurate and compliant with regulations.

  • Order & Inventory Management:

  • Oversee material orders to align with production and demand planning.

  • Monitor stock levels daily and ensure adequate supply across distribution hubs.

  • Coordinate with warehousing and distribution teams to streamline material flow.

  • Quality Control & Compliance:

  • Work closely with the QC team to ensure all imported ingredients meet regulatory and quality standards.

  • Address any discrepancies or quality issues with suppliers and internal teams.

  • ERP & MRP & Data Management:

  • Maintain and update process production records in ERP (NetSuite) systems, ensuring accurate inventory, order tracking, and documentation.

  • Generate reports on shipment status, costs, and supplier performance.

  • Updating MRP (Material Requirements Planning) system for production of the products.

  • Experience with excel files

  • Stakeholder Communication:

  • Act as the key point of contact between suppliers, shipping firms, customs officials, and internal teams.

  • Provide regular updates on shipment schedules and any potential delays or issues.

 

Person Specification.

  • Previous experience in logistics, freight coordination and supply chain management.

  • Strong understanding of international shipping, customs and organic regulations, and import processes.

  • Proficiency in ERP & MRP systems for order and inventory management.

  • Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong communication skills to liaise with multiple stakeholders.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.

  • Experience in the food supplement contract manufacturing.

  • Knowledge of Incoterms and international trade agreements.

  • Familiarity with quality control and compliance standards related to imported goods.

  • Understanding AI technologies and open to working with them.
