MTrec’s New Opportunity

Our client is an established, and successful company based in the Felling area. They are now looking for a Graduate Product Designer to join their team on a full-time permanent basis. If you meet the person specification for the role, please apply below.

The role you will be doing

  • Develop and produce detailed drawings and designs using SolidWorks

  • Create Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for manufacturing processes

  • Generate website diagrams and clear, concise instructions for products

  • Participate in research and development initiatives to innovate and improve company offerings

  • Budget and cost new designs to ensure they are market-ready

  • Seek out new suppliers and materials to enhance product quality and reduce costs

  • Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities for new products

  • Travel to industry exhibitions and events to gather inspiration and identify potential opportunities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure designs meet functional and aesthetic requirements

  • Stay updated with industry trends, materials, and technologies

About You

  • Proficiency in SolidWorks

  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and materials

  • Experience in creating SOPs, assembly instructions, and technical diagrams

  • Excellent budgeting and costing skills

  • Ability to conduct thorough market research and present findings

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills

  • Flexibility to travel to exhibitions and events as required

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously

  • Creative problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail
