Our client is an established, and successful company based in the Felling area. They are now looking for a Graduate Product Designer to join their team on a full-time permanent basis. If you meet the person specification for the role, please apply below.
The role you will be doing
Develop and produce detailed drawings and designs using SolidWorks
Create Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for manufacturing processes
Generate website diagrams and clear, concise instructions for products
Participate in research and development initiatives to innovate and improve company offerings
Budget and cost new designs to ensure they are market-ready
Seek out new suppliers and materials to enhance product quality and reduce costs
Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities for new products
Travel to industry exhibitions and events to gather inspiration and identify potential opportunities
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure designs meet functional and aesthetic requirements
Stay updated with industry trends, materials, and technologies
About You
Proficiency in SolidWorks
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and materials
Experience in creating SOPs, assembly instructions, and technical diagrams
Excellent budgeting and costing skills
Ability to conduct thorough market research and present findings
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Flexibility to travel to exhibitions and events as required
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Creative problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail
