Mtrec are proudly representing our bespoke services and manufacturing client, in their search for an experienced electrical commissioning engineer. The successful applicant will be required to travel to domestic and international customer sites and support the installation and commissioning of bespoke solutions. The Job you will do:

  • Mechanical installation & commissioning of all systems and successful handover to customer.

  • On site servicing and/or repair of customer equipment.

  • Liaise with customers on technical queries taking responsibility to resolve, using remote access technology to fault find and troubleshoot the PLC programme with remote office-based support.

  • Conduct on site surveys for service, repair & modifications to assist with quotations.

  • Ensure clear and concise communication with customers.

  • Carry out Training activities for Customers

  • Safe & Efficient operation of system/product

  • Basic routine maintenance of system/product

  • Review and complete method statements and risk assessments where required.

  • Be active in department metrics for Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory and Productivity

  • Complete and comply with IR code of ethics.

  • Play key role in the following of the company EH&S processes and procedures

  • Support internal EHS Audits

  • Share information which might improve EH&S, like near-miss reporting

  • Leading by example, continually look to improve the companywide culture around EH&S

  • Ensure the company meets its goals and targets in EH&S.

  • Participate in monthly EH&S Toolbox talks.

  • Share useful information with the team on CIP.

  • Be an active participant in the company CIP and 5S programmes.

  • Collect and act upon department Turnbacks and Escapes.

  • Ensure all Standard work instruction (SWI) is reviewed and updated

About you:

  • Degree in electrical discipline desirable

  • HNC (Higher National Certificate in an Electrical or PLC engineering discipline) or Equivalent experience will be considered.

  • Installations Experience

  • Knowledge of P&ID drawings

  • installation management

  • Excellent trouble shooting skills

  • Driving Licence

  • Siemans TIA portal (PLC) experience
