We have an exciting opportunity for a Supply Chain Manager to join our outstanding client on a 12-month Fixed Term Contract, this an exciting opportunity to work for an employer of choice based in the Bishop Auckland area.
The Job you’ll do
As the Supply Chain Manager, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing their supply chain operations, ensuring the seamless flow of materials, production, and delivery.
You will work closely with suppliers, production teams, and logistics partners to maintain efficiency, reduce costs, and meet customer demands.
Oversee the entire supply chain process from procurement to delivery, ensuring efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Develop and implement strategies to optimize inventory levels, reduce lead times, and enhance supplier performance.
Collaborate with production teams to align supply chain activities with manufacturing schedules.
Manage relationships with suppliers and negotiate contracts to secure the best terms.
Monitor and analyse supply chain performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
About You
Proven experience as a Supply Chain Manager, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
Strong knowledge of supply chain processes, inventory management, and logistics.
Excellent negotiation and relationship management skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Proficiency in supply chain software and Microsoft Office Suite
