A successful candidate will be responsible for responsible for performing vital quality inspection and control work. This role will be working an alternating 07:00– 19.00pm and 19.00pm – 07:00am on a 3 on 3 off 12-hour shift pattern
The Job you will do:

  • Responsible for visually checking the quality of product against the customer specification on an hourly basis.

  • Approve first off checks and samples for each machine.

  • To take regular samples throughout the shift ensuring all samples are labelled correctly with all required information.

  • Raw material inspection and testing

  • Weekly GMP audit as per schedule and check if corrective actions have been completed

  • Carry out QA training of new packing operators when and ensure any change in QA policies or procedures are trained out to all relevant employees.

  • Inspect and verify packing format against specification/colour cards, labels and paperwork are correct.

  • Check extruded sheet is correct specification, colour and labelled correctly.

  • Ensure colour cards are compiled, reviewed, and correspond with product.

  • Participate and oversee the sorting of any finished goods returned or put on hold (external and internal.)

  • Assist with any NCR investigation where required.

  • Carry out daily calibration of production scales.

  • Compile and issue job packs and ensure completed job packs have been completed correctly and any corrective actions are carried out- all departments.

  • Ensure metal detector checks are being carried out correctly; any issues to be reported to Shift Supervisor & Senior Quality Technician.

  • Stop production line if major non-compliance of specifications, standards or quality is found during the inspection process.

  • Complete all required paperwork in line with internal procedures and maintain inspection journals and daily summary logs.

  • Make sure that the QA hold area is under control all stocks include a hold label with information.

  • Police and ensure ‘clean as you go’ and hygiene policy are carried out by all entering production hall.

  • Ensure comprehensive handover and cover of holidays/absence is shared throughout the team.

About you:

  • You will have previous experience with quality inspection within a fast paced and dynamic manufacturing environment.

  • You will have experience in GMP Audits, NCR’s, Quality Inspection, and administration.

  • You will be adaptable, organised and willing to learn

  • Excellent communication and planning skills are essential to succeed in the role.

  • You must be available to work the shift pattern.
