You will be working in a fast-moving, high-volume manufacturing site, which is part of a larger multi-national group. Your New Job Role and Duties.

  • Directly responsible for the provision of IT support.

  • Manage the small IT team.

  • IT maintenance includes hardware, infrastructure, local networks, and non-group applications.

  • Responsible for execution of group standards in terms of production IT maintenance.

  • Manage the mobile telephone equipment.

  • Manage the existing IT equipment and all new equipment.

  • Manage the various contracts with external service providers.

  • Purchase of IT office supplies in accordance with company standards.

  • Installation and support of end-user applications.

  • Ensures the security of all IT equipment. Execution of IT security decisions and principles for end-user devices.

  • Responsible for user creation and maintenance of the ERP in accordance with Group IT standards and GDPR.

  • Support and coordination of user training.

  • IT development, including advising the site management on the evaluation of new solutions.

  • Participate and execute approved IT tasks and projects.

  • Provision of problem resolution service.

  • Daily handling of requests via the Group IT Helpdesk (dispatching and ticket resolution).

  • General end-user support regarding IT matters including desktops, laptops, and phones.

  • Responsible for the development and maintenance of the internet and phone networks.

  • Develop the IT strategy of the business.

  • Govern the IT policies and procedures.

  • Manage all aspects of cyber security.

  • Ensure IT compliance.

About You.

  • You will be suitably qualified for an IT management role.

  • It is essential you have worked as an IT manager in a manufacturing or engineering environment.

  • You will be fully experienced in all aspects of hardware and software support.

  • You will have team management and leadership experience.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft products.

  • Previous experience working with an ERP system.

  • You will have IT project management skills and experience.

  • Experience of IT security/cyber security.

  • You will be happy to travel to sites in different parts of the UK.
