Mtrec Technical are proudly representing our industry leading manufacturing client in their search for a talented and hands on Engineering Manager. The role will oversee all elements of plant and facility maintenance for the business and will have responsibility for managing a team of multi-skilled engineers, leading projects and implementing CI activity. The job you will do:

• Managing all elements of machine maintenance and responding to breakdowns.

• Site and building maintenance

• Project management for CAPEX, CI, and other engineering activities.

• Hold full responsibility for a team of multi-skilled engineers

• You will be responsible for the upkeep of the maintenance schedule and spares inventory.

• You will have authority for the purchasing of new equipment when needed.

• Full management over the budgets for the engineering department.

• Overseeing industry specific compliance documentation.

• You will be responsible for overseeing contractors on site when required.

• Purchasing of materials for production lines when required.

• Assisting in any department/ capacity relevant to your post as engineering manager.

About you

• You will be experienced in the management/ leadership of engineering and maintenance departments within high volume production environments.

• Ideally you will be multi-skilled, capable of a range of mechanical and electrical work.

• It is essential that you have experience in a relevant industry sector, such as food and drinks manufacturing, similar experience will also be considered.

• It is essential that you are hands on in your approach

• You must be available for the on-call rota between Monday to Friday.

• Ideally you will be a time served engineer/ technician or hold other relevant qualifications (HNC, HND, Degree etc.)
