We are recruiting for our client who are specialists in their market sector, they are now looking to recruit a Certification Engineer on a permanent basis.

The Job you’ll do

  • Contribute to the completion of design and development projects in line with the approved stage gate process.

  • Using initiative to develop new products or design innovative solutions to improve the design of existing products from briefs provided.

  • To ensure the timely preparation of all technical drawings using 3D CAD modelling and 2D drawing software provided.

  • Undertake when required modification of drawings and components in line with QA systems and procedures.

  • The generation and maintenance of parts lists/bill of materials and the control of approved copies in line with QA procedures.

  • Liaise with and supply requested approval drawings to certification bodies in a timely manner.

  • Have a working knowledge of relevant European and International standards and Directives.

  • Conducting prototype and/or modified component testing and the production and correct storage of test reports in a manner described in the QA procedures.

  • Provide Technical assistance to the Sales dept. or directly to customers in terms of product information, problem solving and application training when required.

  • Maintain good communications between departments of the client.

  • Be familiar with QA systems operated within the client.

  • Carry out any other duties not listed above as may reasonably be expected.

  • Reports on hazard or near misses that could impact on self and others

  • Demonstrates a positive approach to HS&E through good working practices, housekeeping and correct use of PPE.

  • Adheres to risk assessments, policies and procedures.

  • Participates positively in HS&E training.

  • Only undertakes health and safety tasks for which they have been suitably trained.

  • Takes responsibility for appropriate checks of own work environment, machines or equipment.

  • Takes accountability for own health and safety and for those around them.

  • Keeps self-updated with health and safety communication initiatives from the company and applies learnings.

  • When interacting with visitors and contractors takes responsibility for their health and safety on site.
