The Company you will be working for;

Our client is an established and successful company based in Peterlee. They are currently looking for an Accounts Assistant and Administrator to join their team. If you are interested and meet the person specification of the job role, please apply below. This is a part time role working 25 hours.

The job you will be doing

  • Managing day to day bookkeeping activities including sales ledger

  • Raising invoices and credit control

  • Purchase ledger including reconciling supplier statements

  • Preparing and posting journals

  • Checking and processing expense claims

  • Resolving and transactional discrepancies and queries with other departments, customers, suppliers and other external stakeholders

  • Assist with month end reconciliations and support with the preparation of both monthly and year end closing activities

  • Collaborate with internal departments to assist with process improvements to ensure smooth financial operations

  • Provide support in budgeting forecasting and financial analysis to assist the senior leadership teams strategic decision making

  • Adapt to undertake additional tasks to meet the needs of the company

About You

  • Strong experience in transactional processing, accounts payable and reconciliations

  • Excellent computer skills and experience using Microsoft Office packages

  • Experience of using ERP systems

  • Ability to work individually and as part of a team to prioritise tasks to meet individual and team deadlines

  • Excellent organisational, communication and time management skills

  • Exceptional attention to detail and accounting accuracy

  • Firm grasp of accounting principles and treatments
