MTrec Technical are proudly representing our prestigious Manufacturing client, based in Newton Aycliffe, by recruiting a permanent Maintenance Technician to join their organisation. A successful candidate will be responsible for a range of machinery and equipment across their manufacturing and assembly site, which they rely upon to achieve their production targets.

Job Specification
The Job You’ll Do;
- Attend equipment breakdowns and seek to reach resolution in a timely manner. Seek understanding of root cause for problems
- Complete PM’s against monthly plan
- Adhere to H&S requirements whilst performing duties
- Act as initial mentor to trainee/apprentices
- Complete shift reports within eMaint system and provide information by email regarding ongoing activity
- Follow handover techniques and processes (BTP, Handover form etc)
- Maintain critical spare stock levels
- Provide cross-functional support across the business
About You;
- Fully competent in either mechanical or electrical maintenance including fault finding, repair and understanding schematics
- Basic training and competency with pneumatic assemblies including fault finding, repair and understanding schematics
- Basic training and competency of robotics and programming
- Basic training and competency of laser technology and controls
- ONC in relevant engineering discipline or NVQ Level 3 Maintenance/ Experience within FMCG or manufacturing environment
