Company Description

The Company

MTrec are currently recruiting for a specialist manufacturing firm based in the Washington area for long term positions with a view of becoming permanent after a successful 12 week probation period. The company are a leading distribution centre and having an excellent reputation within their sector for providing quality goods to a variety of clients worldwide.

 

Prior to applying to this role, you must be available to work overtime during busy spells.

Job Specification

The Role

  • The role will involve picking and packing of a variety of products and correctly labelling and shrink wrapping pallets for prior to transporting to the distribution area
  • Must be able to work in a very fast paced warehouse, and expected to be able to pick up a variety of different weighted products up to a maximum of 24 kg
  • An absolute essential part of the role is be flexible to working in a variety of departments including warehouse and the distribution centre due to constant changes in orders it is essential to be comfortable working in a dual role
  • Following picking lists and on occasions will be taking the orders verbally as on occasions urgent orders will take priority over scheduled and expected orders to be completed throughout the day
  • Working with pallets trucks for transporting larger items within the production on occasions, but using the machinery will be on an infrequent or frequent basis
  • Quality of the work is essential part of the role, as items must be packed, labelled and stored correctly to ensure products are dispatched correctly and in the expected time scale as highlighted by the warehouse manager
  • This is role is fairly demanding role as there will be a lot of lifting throughout the day, the importance of being able to be flexible for working in different departments is paramount to functioning in the team
  • Must be comfortable for working both independently and in a team

 

The Person

  • Flexible, willing attitude is essential for the position as shift changes and department changes can happen on a weekly basis
  • Must be able to work a variety of shift patterns and flexible for changing shifts when the company require
  • Must be flexible for overtime, as you must be able to do 48 – 60 hours per week (Please do not apply if you are unable to do this)

The Hours

  • Monday – Friday, 06:00 – 14:00 / 14:00 – 22:00

The Salary

  • £10.00 Per hour
