The Job You’ll Do;
- Provide technical support for other maintenance technicians and assist in their development.
- Involvement in new programs and process improvements, including assessment of machine installations and machine modifications.
- PLC support across the shifts, ensuring programs are correctly backed up and stored correctly in library with a sign in/out protocol.
- Handle the set up and installation of Sick safety scanners and fields.
- Carry out reactive, planned, preventive & predictive maintenance tasks on plant equipment.
- To maintain and improve the site PPM (Planned Preventive Maintenance) schedule.
- To maintain and increase plant availability.
- To record and communicate maintenance information via written, electronic & verbal means.
- To assist with the installation and commissioning of new equipment.
- To suggest and take ownership of continuous improvement activities to achieve results.
- Support customers (internal & external), including the identification and correction of machinery faults such as, electrical equipment, mechanical faults, PLC’s, hydraulics, pneumatics and tooling support when required.
- To work within business guidelines and targets to achieve results.
- All personnel are responsible to ensure their compliance with H&S Management Systems in accordance with the principles, objectives and targets of the company's policy and in compliance with statutory provisions, taking account the complexity and business risks involved in operations.
- During the pursuit of all duties the Code of Ethics and Code of Management will be adhered to at all times.
About You;
- Experience gained within a high-volume, manufacturing environment.
- Experience of fault finding and RCA (Root Cause Analysis).
- Fault finding and diagnostics on controls equipment, Drives, inverters & PLC’s
- Fault finding and diagnostics on relay systems.
- Experience of engineering hand tools; Test Equipment; Lifting and slinging equipment; Access equipment; General office equipment; Workshop machinery; Vibratory tools
- Experience of welding (MMA or MIG).
- Experienced with robotic systems / Automation.
- Experienced with electrical heating systems.
- Hydraulic and Pneumatic experience.
- Working knowledge of chillers, compressors and plant utilities.
- Experience of machine installation and modification.
- Experience of safety interlocking systems.
- Ability to follow and fault find using electrical / hydraulic / pneumatic and engineering drawings.
