Job Specification
The Role
- Driving quality improvements through all factory activities including inspection, manufacture and despatch.
- Creating, controlling and monitoring quality planning documentation.
- Reporting on quality KPI’s.
- Working and collaborating with purchasing and engineering departments to ensure both internally manufactured and externally sourced products meet the required specifications.
- Working and collaborating with all departments to ensure quality is at the forefront through all processes and activities within the business.
- Implementing, applying and analysing testing and inspection procedures.
- Previous exposure to Control plans, Inspection test plan creation and maintenance.
- Implementing, creating and improving current Quality procedures and SOPs.
- Creation of final manufacturing Record Books and technical files.
- Managing and owning all operational quality control activities including quality alerts, inspections, visual aids, corrective actions, etc.
- Ensuring all quality control systems and processes are adhered to.
- Liaising with suppliers on all quality-related issues and obtaining corrective actions.
- Conducting process audits and compliance with technical specifications.
- Monitoring and reporting the cost of quality.
- Assisting in the continuous improvement of manufacturing processes.
- Carrying out relevant training as and when required and mentoring employees on quality requirements and processes.
- Ensuring the Company is fully compliant with all standards, legislation, governance and specifications.
- Supporting PPAP, PFMEA and DFMEA with the engineering department
The Person
- Previous experience working in a Quality role within a manufacturing organisation.
- Previous experience of working with an ISO9001 or other QMS.
- Familiarity with auditing processes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Exposure to handling customer complaints.
- Initiative-taking with a positive can-do attitude.
- IT literate, particularly Microsoft 365 packages, especially Word, Excel, and Teams knowledge of SharePoint would be an advantage.
- Excellent diligence.
- Ability and desire to contribute to the development of the company through involvement in continuous improvement projects/activities.
